"The freedom of new thinking", by Erik Pevernagie, oil on paper, 66 x 88 cm xx

Crippled in the mind, some can no longer bring home their soul in the mosaic of their thinking pattern. By changing the logic model of our mindset, becoming an apprentice of new matters, and turning our emotional approach upside down, we can bring dormant energy to life and restore mental balance.

When things no longer meet our expectations and our identity feels undermined, and we fail to restore the tears and fractures, we can indeed keep on tinkering in our corner and living in denial, or we can make the big leap into the unknown and immerge into the well of our unspoken will power, and give trust to our inner second self.

When we recognize that what we think we know is just an illusion, and we are capable of laying bare our psychological discomforts, we can manage to choose a projection into the future and sail without being shipwrecked on the cliffs of mental enslavement.

Breaking free from emotional servitude and creating a day without yesterday can allow us to suspend time and give way to new thinking, and provide context to our life.

Phenomenon: Emotional servitude and new thinking

Factual starting point of the picture: Two personae

It is the poets, artists, and musicians that will carry us through the pandemic attacks into a new reality. They are the ones who tell us how to navigate, breathe, feel, think, enjoy, and fully live our lives.

Although the writing has been present on the wall for some time, many may have ignored the clear signs that some viral diseases are not just a little touch of the flu. If they grow into a worldwide misfortune, remaining willfully unaware might be a sin against the human self.

Ignorance is killing poison. When people do not communicate, they are doomed to remain ignorant. If people do not get together and share views and exchange ideas, they remain unconscious and unaware. A world without dialogue is a universe of darkness.

Through living in a space that we do not understand, everything becomes meaningless, incoherent, and forcefully scary. If fear rules our lives, we lose the core of our being, since 'fear' disrupts the schedule of our existence and blocks the soothing waves of sound vibrations.

If riotous protests create rampant polarization, fear may create fear, fear of the others, and fear of oneself. In the end, it might kill healing feels, universal goodwill, and mutual understanding.
