Description

"Why step out of nature" , by Erik Pevernagie, (66 x 88 cm)

If we remain humble and grounded in nature's wisdom, our mind will guide us safely through the confines of unawareness and the blindness of ignorance.

Let us take care of our Garden of Eden with the fragrance of its flowers and the oxygen of its sheltering trees and savor the fruits of each precious single moment, ever since life can be a sparkling ballet expressing the beauties and values that enlighten and enrich us.

If bees die, humankind will die. Only ignorance does not die! Bees have become an endangered species, and their disappearance will also endanger our future.

In our present time, we are subject to catastrophic neglect about the bees' future, being globally decimated by poisonous chemical substances. This unconcern will cause a disastrous world hunger problem.

In the past, whole communities disappeared by mismanagement, ignorance, and rampant destruction of the environmental capacity. One would expect that the world has learned from the historical mistakes. However, due to a "short time vision," our resources' exhaustion has still increased.

Does a common outcome about an international ecological agreement remain an illusion? Today is a defining moment. Inaction means catastrophic irreparable damage to the world.

Will we go on stepping out of nature? Easter Island and the Jordanian rock metropolis Petra are classic examples of the devastating short-sighted mishandling of nature.
